Our Advanced, Personalized, Predictive, Functional Tests reveal invaluable insights about your health, down to the cellular level and far beyond the surface-level data revealed by conventional tests.

Your doctor may have told you that you have “normal” lab marker results, including normal mineral and vitamin levels, normal blood hormone levels, and normal liver enzyme levels, just to name a few.

But if everything is normal, then why do you feel so lousy? Perhaps you’re experiencing low energy, mood swings, poor sleep, low libido, or other symptoms. You know something isn’t right, but what can you do? Where should you go? Who can help you?

Nurturing Homeostasis

In my private naturopathic practice, I use advanced functional testing to identify stress-induced imbalances, which undermine homeostasis. Coined in 1926 by Harvard’s Dr. Walter Cannon, homeostasis refers to an organism’s “steady-state equilibrium.” Stress, including physical, mental, and emotional stress, can negatively impact homeostasis.

Conventional testing fails to identify these stress-induced imbalances, which makes it impossible for the practitioner to accurately map the client’s internal terrain (described by the eminent Dr. Claude Bernard as the milieu intérieur).

As your practitioner, I require objective data, which reveals to me underlying root causes of your conditions. Like a detective, I must select from a wide assortment of Advanced Functional Tests, determining which combination of these tests will provide me with the most pertinent information.

Removing the Rust

My aim is to identify the “rust” which is present in different physical systems of the body, as well as the psychosomatic and emotional rust you are carrying.

Using functional testing, live blood analysis, Siberian bioresonance testing, and other advanced tests, I obtain a 360-degree vision of WHO you are and WHERE your rust is located.

Simply put, conventional tests are like a snapshot. They reveal basic data pertaining to a particular moment in time. The Advanced Functional Test I use in my practice, however, are like a motion picture. They show WHO you are, and in great detail.

The Blueprint of You

The objective data from these advanced tests, combined with my 16 years of clinical experience, enables me to detail your unique cellular, genetic, biochemical, metabolic, hormonal, emotional, and psychological makeup.

This knowledge is the map with which I develop your personalized therapeutic protocol/journey, the aim of which is to restore a state of homeostasis and enable you to thrive.

Below, I will explain more about functional medicine and the specific functional lab tests I use in my practice.

  • Evidence-based

The specific biomarkers measured by our tests include:

  • Hormonal
  • Nutritional
  • Detoxification
  • Neurological
  • Anti-Aging

  • Environmental toxins

To better understand the lab tests we offer, I must first explain the basics about functional medicine.

    What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is an integrative, patient-centered, systems-biology approach to reversing disease while building robust vitality.

Unlike conventional medicine, functional medicine starts with a holistic assessment of you as a person, taking into account your unique biochemistry, genetics, psychology, emotions, nutrition, and lifestyle.

This enables me, as your functional medicine practitioner, to first identify the underlying causes of your various conditions, and then deploy comprehensive, evidence-based strategies to address and reverse these causes.

Reversing diseases, which develop silently and slowly during decades of imbalanced living, is a primary objective of functional medicine. Equally important, however, is the cultivation of vitality. Slowly, we are rebuilding and fortifying your organs, your immune system, your digestive system, and more.

In other words, it’s not simply about reversing existing conditions, it’s about reaching new levels of health whereby your mind and body become so strong that disease commencement is no longer possible.

    Functional Medicine vs. Conventional Medicine

Functional medicine is the truest, most authentic form of healthcare. By focusing on root causes, rather than symptoms, functional medicine practitioners grasp the complexity of disease conditions. Functional medicine recognizes, for example, that most conditions have multiple causes and that “causes” typically contribute to multiple conditions.

This deep understanding enables functional medicine practitioners to create bespoke, 100% personalized treatment programs based on each person’s specific needs.

Conventional medicine, on the other hand, is better characterized as “disease management.” From the perspective of conventional medicine, disease is inevitable, therefore the mitigation of symptoms is the goal.

In reality, treating disease while building vitality takes time and dedication, from both the client and the practitioner. Unfortunately, conventional medical doctors simply don’t have the time, resources, and education that such fundamental changes require.

Instead, conventional doctors prescribe pharmaceutical drugs, which suppress disease symptoms, but fail to address the underlying cause or causes of the disease. To make matters worse, these drugs often cause new symptoms and contribute to the development of other diseases. Consequently, one patient ends up with multiple specialists, each of whom prescribes a new collection of drugs. Rather than getting to the roots of the many problems, the problems expands in both scope and scale.

Eventually, many people recognize the futility of this deeply flawed system. Where the conventional medicine treadmill ends, the solid ground of functional medicine begins.
