The art and science of adaptation
I speak about the ways human beings adapt - biologically, psychologically and culturally - to stress, ageing, environment, change and the lives we find ourselves living.
I look for the patterns that connect the person in front of me with the life they’ve lived.

My practice
ExploreI work across physiology, traditional healing systems, anthropology and human experience. Different lenses. One human being.
Protocols are useful when they belong to someone. I begin with the person.
The Siberian Briefs
ReadFor years I have travelled east to learn from physicians, researchers and practitioners whose work has rarely crossed into English. Between Silicon Valley and Siberia, I became less interested in optimisation and more interested in adaptation — what the human organism does when its environment changes, and which ideas are worth carrying across the border.

Who
Meet KarimAnthropology taught me to enter another person’s world without assuming mine was the correct one.
Naturopathy gave me another way to ask what was happening inside the body.
Travel showed me how differently cultures can understand the same human experience.

What I make
I speak about the ways human beings adapt - biologically, psychologically and culturally - to stress, ageing, environment, change and the lives we find ourselves living.
I follow a question wherever it leads. When an idea stays with me long enough, I give it a form.
